 Other health-promoting ingredients of organic teas include: catechins, vitamin A, vitamin C, theanine, xanthine.  Catechins help to boost human health.  The catechins in organic tea are believed to improve one's immune system.  This leads to fewer episodes of sickness, which is an especially important consideration for older people, those with genetic predisposition for illness or members of other at-risk groups.  In addition to preventing microorganism from latching onto cell walls, catechins offer protection against other harmful microbes they can release.

 Additionally, organic tea also contains just the right amount of caffeine. Peer-reviewed scientific research has shown that when consumed in moderation, caffeine can have beneficial effects. For example, caffeine has been linked with lowered risk for Alzheimer's disease. It also seems to offer some protection against dementia, oral cancer and stroke. Just like Grandma said, it's possible to have too much of a good thing. Overconsumption of caffeine can lead to many different health problems, too. With a low-caffeine drink like organic tea, it is easy to find the perfect middle ground.
