Grandma A's Bundt Cake Recipe
The beauty of simplicity.
This bundt cake is delicious and easy to make. Passed down from my Great Grandma A, a southern lady whose heart was full of hospitality and love, she was the wedding cake baker of choice in the small town where my Great Grandfather pastored a country church.
I feel blessed to have her as a role model in my life and for the love of cake baking she passed on to me. There is a lot of room for your personality to shine through when you the baker, whip it up!
3 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
3 teaspoons extract of your choice (I like 2 teaspoons vanilla and 1 teaspoon butter for a cake I plan to serve with fresh fruit)
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
Preheat oven to 325, cream butter and sugar, beat eggs in individually, add extract, mix, add milk, mix, add flour, mix. Stir in by hand anything you would like! Chocolate chips or blueberries, shredded coconut...the sky is the limit!!! Bake for about 1 hour in a greased pan, until it's not jiggly. Allow to cool and then decorate with more of your favorites....flowers or powdered sugar or fresh fruit or chocolate sauce...enjoy!!!
